From phone
ENT was good. Like the dr. He did scope her. She sat on my lap, and I held her head. My mom went with us and held her hands. She did good, but having a camera go down your nose into your throat can't be comfortable. Thankfully anatomically looked fine. The dr didn't see any nodules and vocal cords looked good. At the bottom of the vocal cords there are two things the dr described s joints. They were red. He said her hoarseness is from either a residual cold or reflux. She came home from nicu on two reflux meds. He decided to put her on prevacid for a month to see if that helps. If not he'll do a barium swallow study to c if she is refluxing. Overall good news. I figured it would either be reflux or damage from being intubated for so long. We got frostys on the way home :-)
Dec!
If you're going to judge me based on how my bathroom looks, please do it today! :) We're leaving for Addy's appt in 2 hours. I'm hoping they don't have to scope her because I know she will NOT like that!

Home alone w 4..
Monday was my first day home alone w all four since Lexi was born on 11/17 thanks to Thanksgiving break. It was very tough. None of the older 3 slept. They were in terrible moods by dinner time. Mitch didn't get home until almost 5 bc he's working 10hr shifts. The over time is hard on both of us. I try to remember we are both sacrificing for the family: Mitch's body and my sanity! After dinner that night I showered then started in bathing children. Once the older 3 we're done I put then to bed and fed Lexi while Mitch showered. Glad I didn't bathe Lexi before that bc she spit up for the first time! Her umbilical cord stump fell off, but for now I'm sill doing sponge baths. I like to do that the first few weeks. Yesterday was much better at nap time--only Lexi didn't sleep. Today nap time has again been crummy. Rafe is down, Lexi nursing, Gabi laying down, and Addy removing ornaments. Which reminds me, we got a live tree this year! My first ever. I'm excited. Ppl say they are a maintenance item to water and sweep after. Obviously those ppl don't have 4 kids at home! I sweep several times a day and try to vacuum twice daily due to brown rugs. A live tree is no problem! Our December is filling up fast. Lexi is being baptized on saturday. Addy has an appt with an ENT for her hoarse voice next week and an eye appt later in dec. All us girls have teeth cleanings. Not to mention Christmas pictures, Christmas candy, gingerbread making day, and various Christmases with relatives. Goodbye November 2011... I'd post thoughts on labor/delivery but phone is ab to die..
